Sister Gregory Skrtich, (Genevieve Frances) died on November 6, 2012. She was a beloved member of the School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King (Lemont Franciscans) for 64 years; the beloved daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (nee Gasparac) of Joliet, IL; beloved sister to Nicholas, Wallter, Daniel, Mary, Catherine (Sepich), Anne, Helen (Shay), Josephine, and Christine, all of whom preceeded her in death. Sister served at St. John's Orphanage in Kansas City, KS and taught at many parish schools throughout the United States. Visitation will be at Alvernia Manor (13590 Main Street - Lemont) from noon- 4:30 on Thursday, November 8. The Mass of the Resurrection will follow Vespers at 4:30 also in the Alvernia Manor Chapel on Thursday. Internment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Lemont on Friday, Novemebr 9 at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Sister's memory can be made to the School Sister of St. Francis of Christ the King.
