Eda “Edith” Przystup, resided at Merkle-Knipprath Catholic Home in Clifton, IL. Born May 16, 1916, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alexander Fuchs and Eda (Kross) Fuchs. Her husband Joseph Przystup, whom she married on July 19, 1941, in Chicago, IL, passed away on December 19, 1979. Edith was employed at Sears, and was a homemaker. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth (Jeanne) Przystup of New Buffalo, MI and John (Beverly) Przystup of Martinton, IL; her grandchildren Jerome Przystup (Katie Aklinski) of Charleston, IL. Nicole (Ryan) Kamphuis of Fond du Lac, WI and Trish Przystup of New Buffalo, MI; her great-grandchildren Reid Kamphuis, Rylan Przystup, Darby Kamphuis, Owen Przystup and baby Kamphuis to arrive spring 2013; her nieces and nephews Walter (Colleen) Sobanski, Georgianne (Larry) Kosta, Irene (Bruce) Lambert, Joan (Owczarz) Rubens, Fr. Joseph Szabelski, Bill Lange, Dianne (Dave) Swiatkowski and Roman (Pauline) Szabelski. Preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Eda Fuchs; her husband Joseph Przystup; a grandson Nicholas Przystup; brother George Fuchs; sister Helen (Fuchs) Sobanski; sisters-in-law Helen (James) Ruzicka, Lottie (John) Owczarz and Florence (Roman) Szabelski; and nieces Theresa (Owczarz) Reed, Mary Ann (Szabelski) Lange, and Kathy Szabelski. Lying in state Monday, December 31, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 608 Sobieski St. Lemont, IL 60439. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
